Tax Administration Jamaica (TAJ) has advised that its tax offices remain closed to the public today.

It says its teams are conducting impact assessments and procedures to safely bring systems back online.

Operations are expected to resume on Friday.

TAJ says persons can still do business online at http://jamaicatax.gov.jm  and using the TAJ App.

Meanwhile, the Bank of Jamaica (BOJ) says it will also be closed to the public today.

It says it will resume normal operations tomorrow.

Earlier the Office of the Prime Minister announced that normal operations of government ministries, departments and agencies are slated to resume today.

However, it said "if the circumstances do not provide for attendance at work, the Government encourages any employee experiencing difficulties to contact their supervisors or entity head as flexibility will be provided to ensure their well-being, while maintaining essential services."
