Twenty-four-year-old Tyreeke Campbell, otherwise called 'Baller', of Old Harbour Road, St Catherine has been charged with the 2019 gun slaying of a man along St John's Road.

Campbell is charged with murder, illegal possession of firearm, illegal possession of ammunition and wounding with intent.

He was charged on Wednesday, following a question and answer session at the Spanish Town Police Station.

He is accused of killing 29-year-old labourer Shamar Smith, also know as 'Shamie', of St John's Road.

The police say about 3 p.m. on April 18, 2019, Campbell and other men went to Smith's home and shot and killed him.

Campbell reportedly fled the scene with his cronies and was recently held.

A date is being finalised for his court appearance.
