Kingston High School, located at 172 King Street, is proud to announce the official presentation of its newly trained peace ambassadors. The event will take place during the school’s devotional exercise at 7:45 a.m. today.

Thirteen exemplary students will be badged as peace ambassadors, signifying their commitment to promoting a culture of peace, tolerance, and leadership within the school community. These students have been trained under the PALS Peace Ambassadors Programme, a transformative initiative designed to equip high school students with essential skills in leadership, conflict resolution, and peace building, through interactive workshops and student-led projects. This programme is a pilot initiative by PALS.

In addition to the newly badged students, four dedicated teachers will be introduced as coordinators for this programme. These educators will oversee the programme’s implementation, ensuring its success, and will serve as mentors to guide and support the peace ambassadors in their valuable work.

The PALS Peace Ambassadors Programme aims to empower young leaders who can inspire their peers to embrace dialogue and peaceful resolution in their everyday interactions.

Kingston High School said it was eagerly looking forward to witnessing the positive impact the programme will have on its students and the broader school environment.
