Retired teacher Rainford Crosbourne has been found after going missing from his home in Willowdene, Spanish Town in St Catherine over the weekend.

The 71-year-old former secondary school educator's family contacted The Gleaner today to bring the good news after he was located and taken for medical assessment.

He appeared to be unharmed.

According to a family member, Crosbourne, who suffers from dementia, had got into a taxi and was recognised by the driver who had seen his photograph in an article about his disappearance that was published in The Gleaner on Sunday.

The taxi driver contacted the family at the telephone number that was included with the article.

Crosbourne, otherwise known as Crosie, Maas Ren or Uncle Ren, is believed to have wandered away from home in the early afternoon on Saturday.
