The accused men were ordered to return to court on November 20.

The three men charged in connection with the murder of 15-year-old schoolgirl Jamila Cole were further remanded when they appeared in the Trelawny Parish Court today.

Presiding judge Paula Archer-Hall was again told that files in the case are still outstanding.

Hall instructed the prosecution to have the files completed within another week.

Charged are Tyrese Brown of Freemans Hall, Timoy Brown of Albert Town, and Jabeon Brock of Albert Town.

Attorney Shelly Hyman, who is representing Timoy Brown, raised concerns about the lack of disclosure in the matter.

"The reports in the news named the accused. Yet there was no follow up release to the news that seven men had DNA tests done in relation to the case. The results have not shown any evidence that any of these three men were present at the murder scene."

The accused men were ordered to return to court on November 20.

Cole, who was a student Jamila Cole of Troy High School in Trelawny, was murdered in her home at Cotton Tree District on August 6, 2023.

Her mother Shanice Anderson and cousin Kayla Dawson were also beaten in the early morning attack.
