Gov’t committed to fixing roads, water woes, says JLP’s Chang at conference
The Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) has acknowledged that Jamaicans are frustrated by the lack of water and poor road conditions.
However, speaking at the party's 81st annual conference at the National Arena in St Andrew, JLP general secretary Dr Horace Chang said the administration will move aggressively to address the issues, pointing to the $45-billion SPARK road repair programme.
"This government led by Andrew Holness has run the country in a way that we can say, confidently, we have the capacity, financially and physically, to correct those problems.
"We have always had the need to fix the critical things of the country," said Chang.
