JLP machinery revving for general election, Chang declares at annual conference
Jamaica Labour Party General Secretary Dr Horace Chang has reported to the JLP annual conference that the ruling party is revving its machinery for the general election due by September 2025.
"All members of the officer corps have been tasked to organise, organise and move forward with under a year to go before the general election," said Chang, who is also deputy prime minister.
He said the secretariat has also been mandated to support "younger members and the new recruits to ensure that the entire Labour party organisation from Morant Bay to Negril, will be strong, active and ready for all eventualities when the party leader rings the bell, call school and we go out to the polls".
