Update | Westmoreland wanted man charged for murder of 'Mad Dog'
Thirty-four-year-old Nicholas Muthra, the wanted man captured during heightened police operations in Westmoreland on Wednesday, has been charged.
Muthra, a security guard of Williamsfield, Westmoreland, has been charged with murder, wounding with intent, possession of prohibited weapon, and using a firearm to commit a felony.
The charges are in connection with the shooting death of 28-year-old Iwayne Bennett, alias 'Mad Dog', a farmer of Petersfield, Westmoreland.
According to the allegations, Muthra opened gunfire at Bennett as he sat in a bar in Bastard Cedar Walk in the parish about 7:25 p.m. on Sunday, November 10.
Bennett died on the spot.
Another man was injured in the incident.
Muthra's court date is being finalised.
