Policemen accused of Windward Road killings remanded

The bail hearing for the two policemen charged for the recent shooting deaths of two men and a teenage boy along Windward Road in Kingston was today deferred to February 27 next year in the Home Circuit Court.

Corporal Mark Roye and Constable Kelby White were consequently remanded on three counts each of murder, using a firearm to commit a felony and discharge of firearm in a public place.

The men were charged on November 17 in relation to the fatal shooting of 17-year-old Oshane Stubbs, 19-year-old Orando Campbell and 20-year-old Kayshawn Smith on November 10.

They are also jointly charged with two counts of perverting the course of justice.

Roye is being represented by attorney-at-law Peter Champagnie, KC, while White is being represented by attorney Althea Grant.
