Man unloading goods dies after being hit by car in St Ann

An investigation is under way into the death of Tajae Gayle 27, of Cheesefield district, St Catherine, who died from injuries sustained in a vehicular accident along the Seville main road in St Ann on Wednesday.
Reports are that about 11:35 a.m. Gayle was unloading goods from his 1997 Toyota Caldina motor car along the roadway when the driver of a Toyota Axio lost control of his vehicle, which hit Gayle, pinning him under the car.
Gayle suffered severe injuries and was assisted to the St Ann's Bay Regional Hospital where was pronounced dead from injuries received.
The St Ann Traffic Department is probing the matter.
