Update | Trench Town man charged over gun and cocaine found at his home
The police have charged the man at whose house an illegal gun and cocaine was found in Trench Town, Kingston.
He is 28-year-old Shackeem Porter who is charged with possession of a prohibited weapon, unauthorized possession of ammunition and breaches of the Dangerous Drugs Act.
Porter is set to go to court on January 20.
Reports from the Trench Town police are that about 9:15 p.m. on Saturday, December 28, lawmen conducted an operation at Porter's home on Upper First Street in Trench Town.
While searching, the police team reportedly found a Taurus G2c pistol with a magazine affixed containing ten 9mm rounds of ammunition.
They also allegedly found a clear bag containing a white hard substance resembling cocaine.
Porter, who is also called 'Squeeze', was arrested.
On Tuesday, December 31, he was charged.
