Melissa and Jolyan: A love that's meant to be
Melissa and Jolyan: A love that's meant to be
There were sprinkles of blessings just before Melissa Patrice Walter and member of parliament for Western St Mary, Jolyan Craig Ian Silvera, took their vows of eternal love.
On Saturday, December 12, the St Andrew Parish Church was filled with family members and fellow comrades for the gold and white-theme nuptials. The bride did not keep guests waiting for long, as she entered the church on time. If she were late, it would have been worth it. She was a beauty and you could tell her husband-to-be approved.
The wedding started with the hymn Thank you Lord, which was most fitting for this couple who have found each other and true love. Followed by a brief introduction and exhortation, (of course no one opposed) the couple, who glowed throughout the entire ceremony, was joined in unity. The joy on their faces was ever so sincere and you could tell that this was their perfect day. The moment was enhanced as the Kingston College Chapel Choir sang Psalm 128 (Beati Omnes) and saxophonist Leroy Nowell captured the audience's attention during the signing.
After the ceremony and a throng of congratulations, the party headed to Innswood Heights, Stony Hill. The outdoor reception had the bride and groom on an elevated head table, which made it appear as it they were physically floating on cloud nine.
The necessary toasts were made, followed by the groom's reply, and then it was time for the lovely couple to dance the night away.
