Editor-in-chief of Vogue, Anna Wintour, hit the nail on the head when she said, "you either know fashion or you don't." We can honestly say that The Collection MoDA team knows fashion.

It has become one of the most highly anticipated runway shows in Jamaica, and specially invited guests to the invitation-only showcase were not disappointed when they turned out at The Jamaica Pegasus hotel on Thursday, November 9.

David Rolle, one of eight designers who showed, was a hit with his edgy, artistic street-wear designs. He captivated with his dark colours as his designs rocked the runway.

Veteran designer drennaLUNA rocked the ballroom with her fabulous high-fashion designs. Arlene Martin had not one, but four beauty queens walk her line and they had the audience screaming for more. Former Miss Universe Kaci Fennell was first out in a jaw-dropping rose petal poncho top with white leggings and a matching turban. Current Miss Universe Jamaica Davina Bennett rocked a fabulous black gown; former Miss Jamaica World Kerrie Baylis also graced the stage with her statuesque frame in a long peach gown; and former Miss Universe and Miss Jamaica World Yendi Phillipps, gave life to a black swan-inspired ball gown creation with gloves to match.

Korto Momolu and Czar Galindo also showcase equally captivating lines. Momolu's two lines reflected her Liberian heritage with beautiful fabric and colours, and Galindo brought bold prints and colours that commanded the runway.

DTS by Daniella was the premiere swimwear designer for the night with flattering, playful and vibrant pieces for all types of curves.

Johneli DaCosta and Courtney Washington were two of four male designers for the night. DaCosta showed off his unique cut that redefined masculinity, while Washington departed from his usual women's wear aesthetic.

Carlton Brown closed the show with his Mirror Collection that was a true production. His well-tailored suits were the rave for the night.

Having Agent Sasco perform his 'winning' hit while walking down the runway was topped only but two appearances by Olympian Asafa Powell. His first appearance was in a seamless blue suit, and his second turned the heat up in nothing but Brown's denim pants. The light reflecting off his well-oiled torso had many of the women in a frenzy.

The Collection MoDA team put on a show that no one who was present will soon forget.
