An Evening with Rory Frankson and Friends
WESTERN BUREAU:
Traditional red tables; poinsettias and, of course, everyone's outfits had a touch of the festive season's colours was how baritone-voice Rory Frankson and his friends celebrated the season in Montego Bay.
The still 'new' Hard Rock Cafe, was the venue for Franson's 'An Evening with Rory Frankson and Friends', and boasted a strickly adult audience, even though the four entertainers - comprising David Feare; Marsha K and Orland Bailey, are all renowned for their family-oriented performances.
AUDIENCE CAPTIVATED
Delivering a compilation of everybody's favourite Christmas carols, the quartet had the audience at their command, bringing out their participation in a clap and sing-a-long, it was a smooth and mellow rendition, reminiscent of '50s and '60s balladeers.
Frankson's presentation of Gloria in Excelsis received rave reviews and the group's rendition of O Holy Night, was sung as an anthem with audience playing the role of the choir.
An Evening with Rory Frankson and Friends opened the doors for many high-standard projects of this type at the Hard Rock Cafe, which is always looking to expose young talent and ambitious promoters.
