The United States Embassy, through its Public Affairs Section, recently initiated the Stakeholder Appreciation and Recognition Awards (SARA), held at the Talk of The Town Suite, The Jamaica Pegasus hotel.

The purpose of the award was to celebrate the Embassy's programme partners that showed examples of best practices from various sectors and formally celebrate their exceptional performance. Through SARA, the embassy aims to create an environment that inspires new ideas that individuals can celebrate and emulate. Host Joy Kelly, with her distinct soothing voice, led the proceedings for the event.

"The US Embassy has enjoyed the long-standing relationship we have with the Jamaican Government and the people," said Charge d'Affaires Eric Khant, who highlighted the various work across the sectors with their stakeholders.

Counsellor for Public Affairs - Jeremiah Knight, handed out the awards to persons nominated within the various categories for the SARA award.
