Local designer Tamia Carey, has been turning heads on the style scene with her wide array of fine and fabulous plus size trends.

For the festive season, she has decided to take fashion up a notch, by breaking into something new. You know what they say: home is where the heart is. So without further ado, we would like to introduce, Tamia Carey Home.

For Carey, her love for designs began with dresses, celebrating a lifestyle of passion in a myriad of patterns and colours for the medium to full figured bodice. She has now decided to extended this diverse euphoria of Jamaican culture and heritage to the table.

"I really wanted to bring that same passion to life in the household. And what better way to do it, than adorning the occasion which culminates the gathering of families, friends and food in a traditional and festive fashion. The same colours, patterns, styles and flare that my customers love and appreciate, I thought: 'Why not express just that in a home decor line?'" she shared with Outlook.

The table decor set, currently includes a runner and six placemats, so it seats that amount. The designs, she explained, boasts beauty by incorporating hand-picked African fabric and explores versatility since they are reversible: so you have a look for Christmas and another for the rest of the year.

Carey is honoured and proud to start the line just in time for the Yuletide season.

"I want to carry that 'melting pot' spirit of the season to Jamaica. And already, I'm excited about the future of the home line... the style possibilities are endless," she said.
