Thousands flocked Montego Bay's hip strip, which has been renamed the Jimmy Cliff Boulevard, anxious to celebrate the start of 2019.

A smaller, much more intimate group, converged on the Montego Freeport area, to jam with Jam Vibes and the crew at Hard Rock Cafe's 'Nightfall at the Oasis'.

At 3 a.m., many were not about to complain, as there was enough to keep them entertained, as they rang in 2019, hundreds walking the streets like pilgrims, returning to their homes with obvious hopes of peace, goodwill and prosperity for the New Year.

The Gleaner's roving team, caught many of them partying the hours away!
