SAJ to stage Public Relations and Crisis Management Workshop

The Shipping Association (SAJ) of Jamaica will resume its highly successful training series on April 5, 2018 with a workshop titled 'Public Relations and Crisis Management'.

This much-anticipated offering will fill an urgent need in the marketplace for credible, practical information on how to manage communications in the aftermath of hurricanes, floods, fires, and widespread IT attacks, including hacking, malware, ransomware, and a host of other negatives that can affect even the most conscientious businesses and their clients and stakeholders.

WORKSHOP'S AIM

The workshop will equip public relations professionals with the tools to manage issues and risks while communicating during a crisis. They will also learn to plan, develop, and implement crisis-communication techniques.

The facilitator is Novlette Denton-Prince. A graduate of Delaware State University and the University of the West Indies, Denton-Prince is a certified workforce trainer and has been in the field of education and training for over 30 years.

In 2017, the Shipping Association hosted workshops for the business community on topics such as protocol and etiquette, cybersecurity, social media management and a very highly acclaimed Excel Workshop series which took participants from the basic level to the advanced. The association will be making similar strides this year as it makes moves to serve its members and the wider Jamaican business community.
