The port of Kingston is open for business, but under strict COVID-19 protocols to ensure that the health and safety of all crew, personnel and customers are adequately protected. It is in this context that Cosco Shipping Container Lines continues to move cargo to and from Jamaica through their local representative, Jamaica Freight & Shipping Company Limited.

On Thursday, July 9, the Cosco vessel CSCL LONG BEACH made its first call to Kingston, and Captain Ovitigala Nalin Nirosha was welcomed by Jamaica Freight & Shipping’s Operations Manager, Christopher Magnus, and customer service representative/IT support Kadien Thompson, who presented him with a plaque to commemorate the event. The vessel was coming from the Far East.

The CSCL LONG BEACH was built in 2007 and has a vessel capacity of 9572 TEUs.
