Market on the Lawn stuns shoppers
Last Sunday's Market on the Lawn on the North Lawn of Devon House, was a shoppers paradise.
With a wide range of unique one-of-a-kind handmade jewellery, paintings, sculptures, clothing, bags, shoes, home accessories, books, cosmetics, food, drinks and a kiddies play area, it was the complete family event.
The first of three that happens annually in December, it provided the perfect opportunity for patrons to get a head start with their Christmas shopping without the hassle - everything was in one place.
There were no duplication of Lenny Jewellery's statement pieces - handmade necklaces and bracelets made out of all material imaginable-from wood to sterling silver. And there was just too much to choose from at Jewellery Essentials - wholesale jewellery outlets and retail store, while Rudolph Thomas had a wide variety of cosmetics to get women all dolled up for the holidays.
If you are an art lover then Yuna Art and Craft and A Touch of Jamaican Art by Peter Peart would have been your booth to shop. There is something to compliment every room in your house. No need to worry about having any look-a-like this Christmas, there was a variety of unique pieces for your entire family to ensure you and yours stand out this season.
T&T fashion showcased their African-inspired designed clothing line, clutch collection and accessories, while Obsession by TRDW had clothes, eye wears and fashionable jewellery. Michele Nicole brought out her fabulous handbags, shoes, beach hats and accessories. Yard Blossoms International took you on an international shopping spree with their collection of home accessories, jewellery and bags from Pakistan, China and New Zealand.
Debbie stuck to her roots with her crocheted clothing line, featuring Jamaican and red, gold and green coloured slippers, and Price to Go had a wide range of printed, uniquely designed carpets to give your home a lift this Christmas.
The gadgets lovers were not left out. LB Dem Electronics catered to all the computer, gaming and cell phone needs.
If you missed this first Market On The Lawn, no worries, get ready to shop up a storm at the next Market on the Lawn scheduled for December 13 and 20 just in time for Christmas.
