Devon 'Concrete' Moncriffe and Jermaine Bowen will face off in the ring for the next match in the J. Wray & Nephew Contender Series on Wednesday, May 20 at the Chinese Benevolent Association auditorium on Old Hope Road.

Both fighters are very confident ahead of the fight.

According to 24-year-old Bowen, he knows Moncriffe, a past winner of the Wray & Nephew Contender Series, is a very good boxer, but he is well prepared for Wednesday's clash.

"I know he is a previous winner, but I believe I have trained hard and have the ability to defeat him. I have put in the work already, and my mind is focused on winning and my attitude is also focused on winning," Bowen said.

Bowen defeated Duke Brooks from Trinidad & Tobago on April 1 to secure his spot in the semi-final round.

Moncriffe, the 38-year-old veteran, advanced to the second stage of Wray & Nephew White Overproof Rum's four-stage Contender Boxing Series with a majority-point decision against Courtney Pennington on May 6. Now he is ready for the next step.

"I am mentally ready and physically prepared for him," Moncriffe said.
