Champs Denbigh, Holmwood set for victory in rural area ISSA netball quarter-finals

The final set of matches in the second round of the rural area Inter-Secondary Schools Sports Association (ISSA) netball competition came to an end on Friday, with defending champions of the respective junior and senior divisions, Denbigh High and Holmwood Technical, remaining on course to retain their titles.
The competition resumes today with quarter-final action at Manchester High School, starting with competition among the juniors at 10:00 a.m. Home team Manchester High will battle Central High, while former champions Knox College will challenge Glenmuir High.
Afterwards, Denbigh will go up against Titchfield High and Holmwood will face Anchovy High at noon.
After an impressive campaign in the second round, defending champions Holmwood, which lost most of the players from last year’s all-conquering team that lifted the all-island title, are expected to move forward in the senior competition when they take on St Elizabeth Technical High School (STETHS) at 1:00 p.m., the same time Titchfield High will be in action against Frome Technical. Preceding these games at 11:00 a.m. will be matches pitting Denbigh against Knox and Manchester High facing Edwin Allen High.
