PORT-OF-SPAIN, Trinidad (CMC):
Play on the third day of the final Test between West Indies and India was abandoned without a ball bowled.
A wet outfield had forced the abandonment of the opening session, and heavy rains then returned to scupper the clean-up efforts and put paid to any hope of a resumption yesterday.
The outfield at Queen's Park Oval has remained soft ever since heavy showers forced play to be aborted on Thursday's opening day after only 13/4 hours of play.
Friday's second day was also abandoned without a ball bowled because of a wet outfield.
West Indies, opting to bat first, are 62 for two, with opener Kraigg Brathwaite unbeaten on 32.
