Domino league continues today

 

The Jamaica Domino Federation-City of Kingston Cooperative Credit Union Portmore St Catherine League continues today with its fourth round of matches.

Defending champions Fort International go after their fourth win in as many matches as they take on brother team Passagefort United at Myrtle Way. Both teams had mixed fortune last Sunday. Fort won their 300-283 over Memory Lane while Passagefort threw in the towel after being down 293-255 against Waterhouse United.

In other games scheduled for today (home teams named first): Ken's Wildflower vs Exceptional; Correctional Services vs Felluchi Strikers; Eradication vs Mechanical Strikers; Passagefort United vs Fort International; Chedwin Strikers vs Waterhouse United; Naggo Head vs Spring Village; Masterpiece vs Soursop; Garveymeade vs Braeton All Stars.

 

Goals galore in Portmore Division two

 

Twenty-nine goals were scored in five matches in the seventh round of the Portmore Division Two Football League last Sunday.

Leaders Edgewater FC (18 points) were the biggest winners as they swamped Caymanas Gardens 10-0. In other matches, Braeton United crushed Daytona 7-0; Racing United thumped Westchester 5-1; Southborough defeated Three West 2-0. while Cumberland and Waterford drew 2-2.

 

Royal Lakes top De La Vega in 9-goal thriller

 

The match between Royal Lakes and De La Vega City could be described as a 'shoot-out' as both teams combined for nine goals. Royal Lakes topped De La Vega 5-4 in the eighth round of the Flow-sponsored St Catherine FA Major League, recently.

In other games, Old Harbour Bay United spanked Newland 6-1; Federal beat Bodles 3-1; GC Foster blanked New Raiders 3-0; Frazsiers Whip defeated Portsmouth 3-0.

 

Thanksgiving service for David Mighty

 

The thanksgiving service for the late president of the New Kingston FC, David Mighty, will be held on tomorrow, February 5 at the Kencot Seventh Day Adventist Church, 10-12 Osbourne Road, Kingston 10. The service willo begin at 11 a.m. Interment follows at the Dovecot Memorial Park.
