Calabar High returns Boys' Champs trophy, not attending 2017 launch

Calabar High School, the defending Boys' Champs winners will not be attending the launch of the championship set for 10 a.m. today at the Spanish Court Hotel in New Kingston.

The 2016 ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys and Girls' Athletic Championships winners returned the Mortimer Geddes Trophy to the ISSA office in St Andrew about 9 this morning.

Calabar says the return of the trophy is not a protest.

It is customary for the defending champions to return the trophy ahead of the championships.
