Lindo in 400m final at CYG

Jamaica's Ramone Lindo advanced to the boys' 400 metres final at the Commonwealth Youth Games (CYG) when he finished second in 48.25 seconds in heat one at the Bahamas Stadium yesterday.
Lindo finished behind Zambia's Kennedy Luchembe who clocked 47.75. The final is set for today at 8 p.m.
In girls' beach football preliminary action, the Andrew Price-coached Jamaicans crushed hosts Bahamas 15-2 for a second win in two games. Jamaica defeated Trinidad and Tobago 5-2 two days ago.
In boys' beach volleyball the Jamaican pair of James Lavarie and Daunte Smith beat Nathan West and Kyle Wilson of hosts Bahamas.
