Junior North American Boxing Federation middleweight champion Kemahl 'The Hitman' Russell will be defending his newly acquired title in front of his home crowd in Jamaica early next year.
Russell, who claimed the title on September 9, was given the opportunity through a partnership by Evander Holyfield's Real Deal Boxing and Uprising Promotions, and K'NRG Management, with whom he is signed.
A specific venue and opponent have not yet been named, but the promoters say that they will be sending representatives to the island to do site visits for possible venue locations. They have also said that the aim is to have the fight sometime in January next year.
