Mico on form in Intercol netball

THE Mico University Netball teams, which are defending champions in the Junior, Intermediate and Senior divisions at the intercollegiate level, sent out strong messages to their rivals last Saturday at the G.C. Foster College by dominating the day's netball rally. Led by national senior player Nicole Dixon and National Under-21 representatives Kadie-Ann Dehaney and Mischa Creary, Mico A won after finishing on nine points, the same as Mico B and G.C. Foster B.

 

BETTER GOAL DIFFERENCE

 

However the Connie Francis and Janet Guy coach team won with a better goal difference.

In their first game, Mico A got past G.C. Foster B 11-2, then stopped sister team Mico B 8-5, and Moneague Community College 9-3, but were defeated 8-5 by G.C. Foster .

In the division involving junior teams, Mico C got the better of Knox Community College 8-2 in the finals.

Knox had defeated Shortwood 8-3 and Mico got the better of G.C. Foster C 5-2 in semi-final action. Both the University of the West Indies and the University of Technology were absent from Saturday's competition.
