#glnrCHAMPS: Calabar secure maximum points in Class Two 1500m

Calabar High School middle distance runners Kevroy Venson and Rivaldo Marshall delivered on their coach Errol Messias’ promise that they will do the quinella in the Class 2 Boys 1500m final at the ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys and Girls Athletics Championship at the National Stadium on Friday.
Venson won the event in a time of 3:57.06 minutes ahead of team-mate Marshall, who clocked 3:58.43 and Jamaica College’s J’Voughnn Blake, who finished in 3:59.07 minutes.
Moments later, Holmwood Technical’s Chrissani May took the Class 1 Girls 1,500m in a time of 4:36.76 minutes. She was followed by teammate Brittney Campbell, who clocked 4:39.10 and Edwin Allen’s Kara Grant, who finished in 4:37.67 minutes.
Calabar’s Javon-taye Williams won the Class 1 Boys equivalent in 3:55.43 minutes. St Elizabeth Technical’s Shemar Salmon grabbed the silver medal with his time of 3:57.32 and the bronze was taken by Calabar’s Kimar Farquharson who had a time of 3:58.33 minutes.
