Following her brilliant performances over the past three days at the  Flow Carifta Games in The Bahamas, Jamaica's under-17 female athlete Briana Williams walked away with the Austin Sealy Award for being the most impressive athlete of the championships.

One of the few athletes from the younger age group to get the award, Williams left the championships, which took place at the Thomas A Robinson Stadium, with three gold medals - two individual and one in the 4x100m relay.

She was involved in two records, as she captured the 100 metres title in 11.27 seconds and ran a scorching opening leg on the girls under-17 record-breaking 4x100 metre relay team, which clocked a fast 44.95 seconds.

Williams also produced a new personal best of 23.11 seconds to win the 200 metres to close out the sprint double.
