Penn Relays 2018 | KC lead seven Jamaican teams into 4x100m final

Kingston College head seven Jamaican teams advancing to Saturday's Championships of America boys 4x100m relay, following preliminary round action on Friday.

The quartet of Yashawn Hamilton, Rashad Rowe, Jhevaughn Matherson and Oshane Peart, clocked 41.24 seconds to be the fastest qualifiers going into the championship event.

Defending champions, Calabar with 41.41 seconds, go into the finals as the second fastest team with Jamaica College, 41.71 and Rusea's 41.81 seconds, being the other sub-42 seconds teams going in as third and fourth best.

The other Jamaican teams in the finals are Papine 42.15, St Elizabeth Technical 42.29 and St Jago 42.31 seconds. Dematha Catholic out of Maryland 41.93 and St Augustine from The Bahamas with 42.32 seconds, will join the Jamaicans in the final, slated for 12:45 p.m. (Jamaica time) on Saturday.
