Host Jamaica Women will attempt to move within striking distance of the West Indies Women's T20 Blast title when they face the Leeward Islands Women at Kensington Park, at 2:30 this afternoon.
One of three third round fixtures on the day, the Cleon Smith-coached Jamaicans will be gunning for their third win in as many matches.
The Leewards, on the other hand, will be seeking their first victory after faltering in their opening two games.
"The team is playing well, and growing in confidence," expressed Smith. "It is just for us now to continue on that trajectory.
"The Leewards may not be strong on paper, but we will not be taking them for granted."
Jamaica, who defeated Guyana and the Windward Islands in their opening two encounters, will be hoping for the batting form of captain Stafanie Taylor and Chadean Nation to continue.
Taylor has so far scored 36 not out and 16, with Nation ending unbeaten on 15 twice in pursuit of victory targets of 76 and 86.
Opener Jodian Morgan and Natasha McLean have also contributed with the bat.
Bowling-wise, the trio Nation, Taylor and the emerging Roshauna Outar has been getting the job done.
In other matches, Guyana, who rebounded to defeat title-holders Trinidad and Tobago, will play Windward Islands at Sabina Park in the feature game of a double header, at 6:30 p.m.
The team with the most points at the end of the six-team round-robin championship will be declared victors.
