AFTER piloting Southern Steel to victory last year in the ANZ Netball finals in New Zealand, Jamaica's Jhaniele Fowler-Reid is looking forward to another major title this year.

In her first season in Australia the ace goalshooter will be at the helm when West Coast Fever take on defending champions Sunshine Coast Lightning next Sunday in the Suncorp Super Netball final.

It will be a home match in Perth for Fowler-Reid's team and she is very confident that this will give them a big advantage.

"We played our last match against the Greater Western Sydney Giants away and now playing at home we are happy and with the expected great support we are very confident of victory," said Fowler -Reid.

She is raring to go and has fully recovered from a slight knee injury which occurred in the last match where she had to leave the court in first half action before returning late in the second half.

"My knee is feeling great now and I can't wait for the final as it is a great accomplishment so far for myself and the team," she said.

NO EASY TASK

It will be no easy task for the West Coast Fever despite defeating their opponents twice this season.

"We have beaten them by one point on two occasions this season and we are hoping to continue our winning ways. It will not be that easy but we are very confident," added Fowler Reid.

Head coach of the West Coast Fever, Stacy Marinkovich, has praised Fowler Reid for the confidence she has shown on the court.

"Jhaniele is a very confident player and she uses her confidence to help the others around her," she said.
