We will look to maintain winning run - Price

Assistant coach of Jamaica's senior team Andrew Price says that his team is pushing hard for a win against Trinidad and Tobago in the CONCACAF Caribbean Women's World Cup qualifier today at the National Stadium, starting at 7 p.m.

In the opening game, Antigua and Barbuda will face Bermuda at 4 p.m.

Hosts Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago, and Cuba are all on six points. The Reggae Girlz, however, have a superior goal difference in the five-nation race for three spots to the CONCACAF stage in the USA in October.

"It is very important to maintain our winning run. We are aware of the quality of the Trinidad team ,but we will go out there to execute," Price told The Gleaner yesterday.

Jamaica's attacking line, led by Khadija Shaw, who has three goals, and Trudi Carter, two goals, will be bolstered by the addition of 16-year-old striker Jody Brown,who played well at the Central American and Caribbean Games.

At the completion of the Caribbean qualifiers, the top three nations will advance to the CONCACAF final stage in the United States of America in October.
