Visiting Barbadian jockey Simon Husbands walks to the scale after winning yesterday’s St Catherine Cup feature aboard ANOTHER BULLET at Caymanas Park.

ANOTHER BULLET yesterday defied topweight 126lb with Barbadian jockey Simon Husbands to turn the tables on third-place ANOTHER VIGOROUS in the St Catherine Cup at five and a half furlongs.

After a scrappy start and first furlong, which later prompted a stewards' enquiry into the event, ANOTHER BULLET took on NUCLEAR FLIGHT, who had come down sharply approaching the half-mile, cutting off ANOTHER VIGOROUS running against the rail.

With ANOTHER VIGOROUS on the reverse after being hindered and taken in hand by Dane Nelson, ANOTHER BULLET doggedly pressed NUCLEAR FLIGHT into the lane and outbattled the filly, who he allowed 16lb, proving stronger inside the last quarter-furlong.

ANOTHER BULLET posted a fast 1:04.3 after picking up 10lb from his last race when placing second by a length to ANOTHER VIGOROUS at seven furlongs, ridden then by apprentice Daniel Satchell.

NUCLEAR FLIGHT stayed on for second, ahead of a game ANOTHER VIGOROUS, who came running on at the end after enduring a rough passage approaching the half-mile marker.

Meanwhile, Shane Ellis rode two winners on the 10-race card, including Jamaica Two-Year-Old Stakes runner-up SUPREME SOUL, who won the fifth event for three-year-olds at seven furlongs.

A Soul Warrior half-brother to stablemate BIGDADDYKOOL, 1-5 favourite SUPREME SOUL tracked CUSTER and took over entering the straight, clocking a fast 1:26.0 for an eight and a half length win ahead of TRICKY ONE.

Ellis opened his account with 3-1 chance BALAZO, who chased and beat even-money favourite ZI BEAST at five furlongs straight in the second event.

Racing continues at Caymanas Park on Saturday.
