BCIC boost for Mt Alvernia’s track and field team

As part of British Caribbean Insurance Company’s (BCIC) continued commitment to increasing the participation of and empowering females in sports, the company has provided the Mount Alvernia High School track and field team in Montego Bay with new running shoes.

BCIC general manager– marketing, Lori-Ann Glasgow, said the company was excited and proud to assist the Mt Alvernia track and field team with suitable running footwear.

First partnership

“This is our first partnership year, and we look forward to growing this amazing relationship as we help to shape the future of these young ladies in athletics not only in Jamaica, but the world,” Glasgow said.

The Mt Alvernia track and field team has consistently displayed an impressive performance by maintaining a spot in the top five girls’ teams ranking at the Digicel Grand Prix Athletics Championship 2018 and 2019, of which BCIC is also a sponsor.

The all-girls team also placed 16th at the 2018 ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys and Girls’ Athletics Championships.
