Edwin Allen Girl's smashed the Championships of America 4x100m relay record after posting a time of 43.62 seconds at the Penn Relays in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania this afternoon.

The young quartet of Serena Cole, Kevona Davis, and twins Tina and Tia Clayton, competing in cold conditions, warmed the track with an amazing run to erase their 2017 record of 43.96 seconds.

The Michael Dyke coached team's win was their sixth in a row and eighth overall at the meet which started on Thursday. Dyke said he was pleased that the cold, rainy weather did not affect the team's performance.
