Tivoli Gardens and Molynes United battled to a 1-1 draw in their Red Stripe Premier League (RSPL) game at the Edward Seaga Complex on Sunday.

Sergino Frankson gave the visitors the lead in the 26th minute, calmly converting from the penalty spot after he was fouled in the box by Tivoli defender Ranike Anderson. But Newton Sterling found the equaliser on the stroke of halftime, firing home from close range.

It was the first game for new Tivoli technical director Glendon ‘Admiral’ Bailey who was appointed to the position on Thursday in a bid to vault the club out of the bottom half of the table, where they have spent the first round of the RSPL.

They finished with five shots, with two on target, while Molynes registered six shots with three of those on target.

The result means that Tivoli remain in 10th place with nine points while Molynes will end the first round in second place with 20 points.
