The Windies Women went down by 47 runs to hosts England Women in their opening game of their five-match Twenty20 International series this afternoon.

England won the toss and went in to bat, setting a total of 163 for eight off their 20 overs.

Deandra Dottin hit a classy half century of 69 runs from 59 balls, but it wasn't enough as the Windies Women finished on 116 for six off their 20 overs.

The Windies will now look to level the series when they meet England again at the same venue, the County Ground, in Derby on Wednesday.
