Boyz return more positive COVID-19 tests

All four members of Jamaica’s delegation for their international friendly football matches in Saudi Arabia are still under quarantine after returning more positive results yesterday from retests for COVID-19 on Thursday.
The four, consisting of three players and a technical staff member, who have been isolated at the team’s hotel in Riyadh, were hoping for negative results to get permission to leave the country.
However, they will have to wait until tomorrow before they do their next round of tests. They will then await those results, which must return negative before they can be cleared to depart the country.
An anonymous source inside the Jamaica Football Federation told The Gleaner that the four players are all asymptomatic and are being supervised by a doctor and a nurse with an ambulance on standby.
EAGER TO RETURN
However, the source says they are all eager to return to their respective destinations.
Six members of the travel party received positive coronavirus results since leaving the island two weeks ago for both matches.
One player was isolated in London, after being tested on November 6 and receiving his result a day later while travelling.
JFF General Secretary Dalton Wint returned a negative result days after he initially tested positive, and was allowed to depart with the contingent on Wednesday.
The Reggae Boyz lost the opening game 3-0 to the hosts last Saturday but returned to take a 2-1 win with a much improved display in the second match on Tuesday.
