West Indies and Australian players return negative COVID-19 tests

All members of the West Indies cricket team and the support staff have returned negative COVID-19 tests.
This follows the postponement of their second One-Day International match against Australia at the Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, Barbados because of a positive test returned in the Windies camp on Thursday.
“All members of the teams have been retested from swabbing that took place yesterday evening and the results were good,” Barbados' chief medical officer Dr Keith George said on Barbadian radio station Starcom Network News on Friday morning.
“It will be officially communicated to both teams and they will make their appropriate decisions. The contact tracing also involved a few persons from the hotel and those persons have also been tested.”
Minutes after the coin toss to start the game on Thursday, and Australia were scheduled to bat, news came of the positive test.
The players were then ushered off the field to their dressing rooms before boarding the team buses back to the hotel within the biosecure bubble.
A decision on when the match will be replayed will be made at a later date once all the test results are confirmed.
