Jamaica's medal hopefuls Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, Elaine Thompson Herah, and Shericka Jackson all cruised through to the semi-final of the Women's 100m event at the Tokyo Olympics on Friday morning (Japan time).
Thompson Herah made light work of her heat, clocking 10.82 seconds, ahead of Switzerland's Mujinga Kambundji (10.95s), and Germany's Tatjana Pinto (11.16s).
Fraser-Pryce strolled through her heat to win in 10.84s, ahead of Ajla del Ponte who finished in a Swiss record of 10.91s, and Nigeria's Nzubechi Nwokocha, who clocked a personal best 11.00s.
Jackson also showed little effort strolling to 11.07s to finish behind Trinidad and Tobago's Michelle-Lee Ahye (11.06s).
The Ivory Coast's Marie-Josée Ta Lou clocked an African record of 10.78s to win her heat, while USA's Teahna Daniels (11.04s), Great Britain's Dina Asher-Smith (11.07s), Nigeria's Blessing Okagbare (11.05s), Germany's Alexandra Burghardt (11.08), and USA's Javianne Oliver (11.15s) also advanced to the semi-final.
