Gianni Henry's wait for an ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys Athletics Championships (Champs) individual title has ended.

The Kingston College (KC) co-captain, in his final year at Champs, claimed the Boys 2000m Steeplechase Open title with relative ease, having time to celebrate before he crossed the finish line, hugging his mother in the stands and the KC supporters who saluted him.

Henry captured the prize in 6:10.78 minutes with ease, having time to celebrate with the last 50m. Jamaica College's Nellie Ambriton came second in 6:25:33 while St Jago High's Jalen Brown finished third in 6:30:76.
