Jamaica’s Reggae Boyz were thrashed 6-0 by Catalonia in a friendly international at the Estadi Municipal de Montilivi in Girona, Catalonia, Spain today.

Gerard Deulofeu scored a hatrick for the Catalonians in the fourth, 29th and 45th minutes to lead them to a comfortable victory over the Jamaicans.

Marc Bartra in the 34th minute, Ferran Jutgla in the 74th and Javi Puado (89th) were the other scorers for Catalonia.

The Jamaicans, who produced a very poor defensive display throughout the match, trailed 4-0 at half time with Deulofeu proving difficult to contain by a very inexperienced Reggae Boyz defensive unit.

The unit included Jamoy Topey, Ramone Howell and Ajeanie Talbot.

Talbot was substituted after the first 20 minutes of play after suffering an injury. Schoolboy footballer Tarick Ximines was also substituted within the first 20 minutes for the same reason.
