Barnswell leads six speedsters into 100 main draw

MVP track club's Ramone Barnswell advanced to the main draw of the Men's 100m with the fastest time in the qualifying round of the event this afternoon at the JAAA National Senior and Junior Championships.

Barnswell clocked 10.23 seconds to win his heat, the quickest among the six qualifers. Wassem Williams of Elite Performance had the second fastest time with 10.29, while his club teammates Sanjay Salmon and Tyreke Wilson qualified third and fourth with times of 10.33 and 10.35.

Ricquan Graham of Wolmer's Boys' (10.37) and Jayval Wright of Vere Technical High (10.40) are the last two qualifiers for the main draw which will begin tonight at 7:25 p.m.
