Jamaica’s Reggae Girlz were beaten 3-0 by Canada in their Concacaf Women’s Championships semi-final match in Monterrey, Mexico on Thursday night.

Jessie Flemming (18th), Allysha Chapman (64th) and Adriana Leon (74th) were the scorers for the Canadians, who led 1-0 at half-time.

Goalkeeper Rebecca Spencer had an excellent game for the Reggae Girlz as she made several key saves to keep restrict the Canadians to just one goal in the first half.

The Reggae Girlz, who started the match with the country’s top scorer Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw on the bench, had one shot on goal in the first half compared to their opponents' five in the first stanza.

The Jamaicans were again kept on the backfoot by the Canadians in the second period. Chapman increased their advantage with a powerful header before Leon wrapped up the victory ten minutes later.

The Canadians will face the United States in the final on Monday at 9 p.m.. The Americans blanked Costa Rica 3-0 in the first semi-final.

Jamaica will oppose Costa Rica at 6 p.m. on Monday to decide third place.
