Anglers Andrea Cowan and Peter Cowan, aboard the yacht Integrity, topped last week’s 59th annual International Marlin Tournament which took place at the Old Marina in Port Antonio, Portland.

The power couple, Andrea and Peter, who in their day-to-day lives own and operate Jamaica’s premier food-distribution business Lillan Limited joined forces and walked away with bragging rights along with their crew.

Lillan Limited reigned supreme throughout the prize-giving as angler Peter Cowan was awarded life membership for his service and his commitment to the annual Marlin tournament.

The tournament organiser, Max Rochester, said he was happy to have the tournament back in full swing after the pandemic. “We’re happy that restrictions have been lifted and participants feel free to come out and compete on the water. We’re looking to have a bigger and better event next year,” Rochester said.

With Sterling Asset Management as one of the major sponsors, President and CEO Charles Ross said they were glad to be sponsoring the annual event.“The display of sportsmanship is unmatched when it comes to deep-sea fishing, and we will continue to support events like this one that promotes nation-building,” Ross said.
