Central High School took a huge step towards qualifying for the quarterfinal round of the ISSA daCosta Cup following a hard fought 1-0 win over Garvey Maceo in their Zone A round-of-16 clash at Foga Road.

James Gallimore came up with the 76th minute winner to lift Central High to four points from two games with one match to go.

Defending champions Garvey Maceo, on one point from two games, are in a precarious position, as they will have to win big in their final group game to have a chance of advancing.

Manchester High also took a huge step towards qualifying following a 2-1 win over Christiana to join Central at the top of the group on four points.
