National defender Allyson Swaby's move to Paris Saint Germain is finally complete.

PSG announced the signing of the 26-year-old Swaby today from National Women's Soccer League Angel City on a six-month loan which concludes in June 2023.

Swaby opted out of the Reggae Girlz January training camp two weeks ago to complete the move which was first reported on January 13.

National senior women's head coach Lorne Donaldson confirmed her absence for that reason.

However, the move was reportedly delayed according to French newspaper Le Parisen days ago because of unforseen complications.

Swaby was targeted as a replacement for Estelle Cascarino, who completed her loan move to Manchester United on January 21, paving the way for the Swaby deal to be done before tomorrow's transfer deadline.

This is Swaby's third stint with a European club. She started her career in Iceland in 2018 before moving that season to AS Roma in Italy, where she spent four years (2018-2022). She is the first Jamaican to play for PSG.

Swaby could make her club debut this Sunday against Le Harve. PSG are currently in second place with 33 points, one point behind leaders Lyon in the standings.
