Tuscany Warriors, Harmony clash in Tier II feature

The Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) Tier II play-offs continue today with five games.

Tuscany Warriors and Harmony will square off in the feature match, a Group D fixture, at the Bounty Hall Community Centre, starting at 3:30 p.m.

Both teams are tied on three points after one game each, and a win for either side could put them on top of the group.

However, Reggae Youths, who also have three points but from two games, can assume leadership of the group if they defeat Sandy Bay at Orchard Sports Complex and the other game ends in a draw.

Meanwhile in Group C, Goshen, who defeated Los Perfectos in their opening match, will go for win number two against Toll Gate who kick off their season at the Goshen Community Centre.

Over in Group B, Ujama and Brown’s Town, two teams with a point each from one game, can surpass group leaders Gray’s Inn, who have two points but are not in action today. In Group A, Seaforth will play Racing United at York Oval in their first match of the season.

In Wednesday’s games, Gray’s Inn and Brown’s Town played to a 2-2 draw. Craighton McNeil and Kevar Levy gave Gray’s Inn a 2-0 halftime lead but second-half goals from Antwone Wilson and Odane Wilberforce earned Brown’s Town a point.

Goshen turned back Los Perfectos 2-0 with goals from Nickoy Smith and Javaughn Bromfield.

In Group D, Harmony stopped Sandy Bay United 4-0. Omar Williams bagged a hat trick while the other goal came from Romaine Lewis.

In another game, Tuscany Warriors edged Reggae Youths 2-1. Davar Cole and Javel Clarke put the Warriors 2-0 up early in the game and they held out to the end despite a late consolation goal from the Youths.
